Sample The World.
Westbend Winery and Brewery has worked tirelessly to collect some of the finest wines we could get our hands on from all over the globe to complement our estate collection. We invite you to come into our tasting room to Sample the World!
First our first vines planted in 1972, Westbend Winery and Brewery is the oldest operating vinifera vineyard in the state of North Carolina. We take great pride in holding the mantel of such great distinction and strive to live up to the Westbend legacy with every bottle we produce.
A rocking bouquet of smoked black fruits, espresso, chocolate, and tobacco that gives way to a full-bodied, plump, incredibly sexy red that does everything right. It's one serious mouthful of Merlot and should keep for 10-12 years.
Earthy aromas and flavors of oven-dried tomatoes, barnyard wood and mud, pomegranate, and cajeta with a supple, bright, dryish medium body and a tingling, interesting, medium-long finish with impressions of herb marinated roasted root vegetables, smoked nuts, cedar, and sandalwood with soft, dusty tannins and light oak flavor.
This lavish wine matches loud oak spice on the nose with equally bold jammy fruit on the full palate, without the tannins becoming too oppressive. It has aromas of vanilla, nutmeg and toasted bread plus tasty blackberry, blueberry and dark chocolate flavors.
This medium coral colored Grenache based opens with a little effervescence. On the nose, a rose petal, wet stone and wild strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced red cherry and lime blend with notes of red raspberry tea.
Westbend Blossom River.
Blended with our estate grown Riesling, Chardonnay and Niagara, this charming white blend is sure to please any and all sweet wine fans with its notes of ripe peaches, baked strawberries, and just the smallest spritz of lime juice.
Westbend Carolina Sunset.
Quite possibly the most unique wine we've ever crafted, this effervescent blend of Chardonnay, Merlot, and Riesling takes your palette on a journey from start to finish. Chocolate covered cherries, root beer, and moonshine. There's nothing quite like this wine!
Sample The World.
